Discover Our Location
Although not an established wine area the Goulburn region is ideally suited to the growing of cool climate wine grapes. We were looking for a cool climate area with limestone soils, as we believe this combination is the best for producing the style of wines we like, and this is what we found only 7 kilometers from the centre of the Goulburn on the Crookwell Road.
Located between the Canberra and the Southern Highland Geographical Indicator regions, our climate more closely resembles that of Canberra, as we are less humid than the Southern Highlands.
There are a number of small wineries and grape growers in the district. Although currently there are too few to apply to become an officially recognised wine GI region, we have combined to form the Merino Country Vignerons Association. Visit their website to discover other wineries in the Goulburn region.
